Production Manager

Midland, TX

Our client in Midland, TX is looking for a Superb Production Manager to join their team!

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under supervision, responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following essential functions:

  • Ensures production activities are operating at maximum efficiency and in compliance with internal policies and federal and state regulations.
  • Establishes key operational metrics (KPIs) that are used to maximize production, reduce costs, and prevent accidents.
  • Supports the development and implementation of employee-training programs for skill development and regulatory compliance.
  • Leads supervisors responsible for production operations, engineering, workover operations, and surface infrastructure.
  • Develops new strategies to increase production using safe and cost-effective methods. Lead sponsor for executing on digital transformation and fully implementing beta tested machine learning tools.
  • In partnership with the Digital teams, evaluate emerging digital technologies that can be applied to production processes such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering field with a minimum of 15 years of professional oil and gas industry experience, preferably within the Permian Basin.
  • A minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical background in production operations required.
  • Ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Effective project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Experience in, or aptitude for, data science and machine learning technology development.
  • Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; adept at interaction with variety of contacts, including peers within a multi-disciplinary team, management, vendors, & industry partners.
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven background in supervising a diverse work force.
  • Copes with ambiguity and change effectively, while comfortably managing overall risk and uncertainty.
  • Change leader who can foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, encouraging team members to explore and embrace new digital tools and methodologies.
  • Innovative self-starter who is highly organized, results oriented and has a willingness to learn.
  • Exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills and capacity to identify information and resources needed to complete tasks.
  • Should be situationally flexible, influential, and assertive.
  • Ability to think strategically and challenge existing assumptions at all levels of the organization.
